Roundtable on SMEs and sustainable e-commerce packaging

On 6 September, Ecommerce Europe and Bundesverband E-Commerce und Versandhandel e.V., the European and German digital commerce associations, are inviting e-commerce actors and policymakers to their Roundtable to exchange on SMEs and the transition towards sustainable e-commerce packaging.

The upcoming Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), currently under negotiation at the European Parliament and the Council, represents a significant opportunity to define an ambitious framework for improving the sustainability of packaging and reducing packaging waste. Packaging is a key leverage to further reduce the impact of e-commerce companies on the environment, and it is therefore crucial to set-up the right framework and incentives to accompany their transition.

The roundtable aims at offering an opportunity for e-commerce sellers to present their day-to-day experience with packaging and sustainable packaging in the EU and for policymakers and stakeholders to exchange on a balanced way forward for this new Regulation.

The roundtable will take place at COMET Meetings Louise, Pl. Stéphanie 20 in Brussels, in a hybrid format. Please note that in-person participation is limited to 35 persons and in-person registrations will be closed as soon as this number has been reached. You can register for in-person participation here.
